Dementia 101

Community Room B
Tuesday, Apr 16, 2024, 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Are you concerned about your memory? Some change can be normal as we age, but significant memory loss is not a normal part of aging. Annual memory screens provide early detection of possible changes in memory and better treatments - just as blood pressure, cancer, diabetes, and stroke screenings do. It creates a baseline so future changes can be monitored. Some types of dementia are reversible, like those from nutritional and vitamin deficiencies, depression, thyroid issues, and more.  Registration is required for memory screenings (which run from 3:00-5:30) and opens two weeks before the program.

Presented by specialists from the Aging & Disability Resource Center.
