    Voter Registration

Voter Registration at Madison Public LibraryRegister to vote at Madison Public Library anytime throughout the year or leading up to an election. Here are some things to know:

    • You'll need your current name at your current address. You cannot register to vote at a post office box.
    • It takes 28 days to establish residency at a new address. Time spent away from your residence counts toward residency as long as you intend to return.
    • Proof of Address may be in paper or electronic format. It must include the voter's name and current address. Some examples include a utility bill issued within the last 90 days, a bank statement, a current and valid WI driver's license or ID card, a paycheck, and many others. View more acceptable forms of Proof of Address.
    • You may register at My Vote Wisconsin. You must have a valid, unexpired Wisconsin driver license or Wisconsin ID to use this option. If the DMV does not have your current address on file, update your address on the DMV website first. Then update your voter registration at My Vote Wisconsin.
